1.) Purpose and Scope
The OpenCC platform is designed to provide a platform for participating universities and faculty to share and more rapidly develop and customize course syllabi and other curricular teaching materials for climate-related business courses. The platform aims to cater to the specific needs of undergraduate and graduate levels, offering a curated space of high quality teaching materials that have been used and identified by our teaching community in the area of climate studies while accommodating a wide range of academic preferences and learning objectives.

2.) Academic Integrity
OpenCC aims to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity. All content generated by the AI should be used as a reference and guide, and users are expected to cite and attribute any information, source materials or ideas obtained from contributing other academics who have contributed to the teaching materials accessible on the platform. Our aim for this platform to easily identify the use of source material, while reducing the barriers for instructors to find high quality curricular materials.

3.) Customization and Adaptation
Instructors and users of the OpenCC platform are encouraged to customize and adapt the generated syllabi to suit their specific teaching objectives, institutional requirements, and student needs. The platform provides a foundation that can be modified, expanded, or supplemented as necessary.

4.) Accuracy and Currency of Information
OpenCC strives to provide accurate and up-to-date information. However, due to the dynamic nature of climate and business studies, it is essential for instructors and users to verify the currency and relevance of the content. OpenCC encourages instructors to supplement the syllabi with the latest research, policy developments, and emerging trends in the field. In addition, on going contributions by users will improve the quality of materials we can collectively benefit from.

5.) Ethical Considerations and Climate Justice
OpenCC recognizes the importance of ethical considerations within climate studies. Instructors are encouraged to incorporate discussions on climate justice, equity, and the ethical responsibilities of climate professionals, policymakers and communities impacted by climate change. The platform aims to foster a deeper understanding of the social, economic, and environmental implications of climate change.

6.) Inclusivity and Accessibility
OpenCC is committed to promoting inclusivity and accessibility. Instructors are encouraged to ensure that course materials, assignments, and assessments that end up being used for teaching purposes, are accessible to all students, including those with disabilities. Consideration should be given to diverse learning styles, and accommodations should be made to meet the needs of all learners.

7.) Continuous Improvement and Updates
OpenCC recognizes the importance of continuous improvement and staying abreast of the latest research and developments in business and climate studies. Instructors are encouraged to update and enhance the syllabi regularly to incorporate new information, case studies, and emerging topics. Feedback from students, practitioners and colleagues should be actively sought to improve the quality and relevance of courses and course materials. In addition users are encouraged to provide feedback on the generated syllabi, suggest improvements, and share their experiences in adapting the content. Collaboration will foster a community of practice and enhance the quality of climate-related education.

OpenCC respects copyright and intellectual property rights. Instructors and users are responsible for ensuring that all materials used in their courses comply with copyright laws and regulations. Proper attribution and citation of sources are essential when using external materials.

Instructors and users of the OpenCC platform are expected to comply with their respective institutional policies, guidelines, and regulations. OpenCC provides a framework that can be adapted to meet institutional requirements while maintaining the integrity and quality of the courses.
